I will try my best to make a good impression and complete all my assignments in Yearup. I understand that my first impression is my last impression. Nature created me to become a performing Artist. My heart and my passion is engaged with music and Hip-Hop, but because of the unfair economy. I struggle to eat and pay the bills for my beautiful family that I love so much. I must put my performing life on hold and handle my responsibilities at Yearup. Completing Yearup wont be an easy task, but I truly believe if I use all my resources I can impress not only my Teachers, but also myself. Since my first day in class I learned the importance of building a Community, and the impact this has on my ability to learn. My perception of being in class was scary because of my past experiences at my last school. It were as if nobody wanted to be there or they were forced to come. Yearup is the complete opposite. Everyone smiles, people treat me like family. Its only been three weeks and I already feel like a new man. Yearup also showed me how badly I needed a tailor. I appreciate the strict contract used only to benefit myself. Even when I earn infractions I have no choice but to stay positive and learn from the mistakes Ive made in the previous week. This is only half the fight. I'm embarrassed to mention that I don't have a computer, but thanks to Yearup I have access to the schools computers. The only problem I have with this situation is completing the assignments assigned on the weekend. Being optimistic includes not taking "NO" for an answer or settling for less. I find a way to a computer after school hours but this is one of the challenges I struggle with daily. Me being a dancer, my motivation is sky high.
I plan to learn as much as I can in Pro skills class. I truly believe every class stores good information. I plan on attending every class and putting my all in every project or assignment. Tech class is my favorite class. I love to be challenged while learning new things. Also being born into the internet makes "Chi Chi,"s class much more interesting. I believe with the tools she's teaching us, we will all be financially fit with our IT jobs. I also enjoy Tech class because I love playing with my Ipad and learning knew thing about this great invention.
I know My Business & Communication class will be a struggle, at least I have a tremendous teacher. His name is the same as mines, and he is from South Africa isn't that cool!!! Its a honor to be in his class. The importance of grammar and email etiquette is overlooked. I learned the importance of networking is all based on your ability to speak proper English and type proper documents. I know Yearup will be a roller coaster. But I believe in myself and they do to
